Leslie Juvin-Acker is President and Chief Happiness Officer at Nestle and an emotional intelligence expert who has worked for Adidas, IBM, and Facebook. She’s committed to the long term career and personal development of her clients and aims to build trusting, intimate relationships to get to the source of their challenges. With her book “The Money Formula: Change Your Relationship with Money in 7 Steps & 15 Minutes or Less” she sets out to redefine our relationship with money by creating positive emotional associations with our wallets.
Leslie’s technique for reshaping our relationship with money stems with detaching the feelings we have about money from the thought of money itself. You may think this process would take weeks, months, or even years. However, in about 15 minutes you can begin to rewire your brain to divorce the negative connotations with money. You start with one word, and then move on to the next one. Money is inherently indifferent, and it is up to us to give it meaning—it is a choice you get to make, whether you are conscious of it or not. Leslie’s goal is to increase your awareness and give you the power to define money, not the other way around.
Leslie’s big imagine if is thinking about all the families that can be helped through her book, freeing them from the stress, anxiety, and even anger that we can associate with money.
Make sure to pick up a copy of The Money Formula to really dive in and gain that intimate understanding of your finances.
